After consideration on the merits, the Committee recommends that HB25-1108 be
amended as follows, and as so amended, be referred to the Committee of the Whole with
favorable recommendation and with a recommendation that it be placed on the Consent
Calendar.
Amend reengrossed bill, page 3, after line 5 insert:

"(c) IF THE DEATH OF A TENANT RESULTS IN DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY,
THE LANDLORD MAY RETAIN A SECURITY DEPOSIT OR ASSOCIATED DAMAGES
DEPOSIT SUFFICIENT TO COVER COSTS RELATED TO THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE
DEATH OF THE TENANT.".
