50 "SECTION 8. Appropriation. (1) For the 2025-26 state fiscal
51 year, $75,545 is appropriated to the judicial department for use by the
52 state courts. This appropriation is from the general fund. To implement
53 this act, the state courts may use this appropriation as follows:

1 (a) $63,548 for trial court programs, which amount is based on an
2 assumption that the state courts will require an additional 0.5 FTE;
3 (b) $4,597 for court costs, jury costs, court-appointed counsel, and
4 reimbursements for vacated convictions; and
5 (c) $7,400 for capital outlay.
6 SECTION 9. Effective date. This act takes effect January 1,
7 2026.".
