After consideration on the merits, the Committee recommends that SB21-078 be amended
as follows, and as so amended, be referred to the Committee of the Whole with favorable
recommendation.
Amend printed bill, page 2, line 11 after "REQUEST," insert "AN ACCURATE AND
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE FIREARM, INCLUDING, TO THE EXTENT KNOWN,".

Page 2, lines 22 and 23, strike "CLASS 2 PETTY OFFENSE," and substitute "CIVIL
INFRACTION,".

Page 3, line 1, strike "A CLASS 3 MISDEMEANOR." and substitute "AN
UNCLASSIFIED MISDEMEANOR AND, UPON CONVICTION THEREOF, SHALL BE
PUNISHED BY A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.".

Concerning the responsibility of an individual firearm owner to report a missing firearm.

Senator Woodward moved to amend the report of the Committee of the Whole to show
that the following Woodward floor amendment, (L.003) to SB21-078, did pass.

Amend printed bill, page 3, after line 3 insert:

"(4) THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO A PERSON WHOSE FIREARM WAS
STOLEN DURING AN INCIDENT IN WHICH THE PERSON WAS A VICTIM OF SEXUAL
ASSAULT.".

Renumber succeeding subsection accordingly.
