Amendments for SB22-202

After consideration on the merits, the Committee recommends that SB22-202 be amended
as follows, and as so amended, be referred to the Committee of the Whole with favorable
recommendation and with a recommendation that it be placed on the Consent Calendar.
Amend printed bill, page 4, line 6, strike "TO" and substitute "FROM".

Page 7, line 16, after "(6)" insert "(a)".

Page 7, after line 26 insert:

"(b) ON JULY 1, 2022, THE STATE TREASURER SHALL TRANSFER TWENTY
MILLION DOLLARS FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE MILL LEVY OVERRIDE
MATCH FUND.

SECTION 2. Appropriation. (1) For the 2022-23 state fiscal year,
$20,041,238 is appropriated to the department of education. This appropriation
consists of $41,238 from the general fund and $20,000,000 from the mill levy
override match fund created in section 22-54-107.9 (6), C.R.S. To implement
this act, the department may use this appropriation as follows:
(a) $20,000,000 from the mill levy override match fund for mill levy
override matching pursuant to section 22-54-107.9, C.R.S.; and
(b) $41,238 from the general fund for administration related to public
school finance, which amount is based on an assumption that the department
will require an additional 0.5 FTE.".

Renumber succeeding section accordingly.
